HabitsFlow Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 22, 2026 App: HabitsFlow (iPhone, iPad & Mac)
In short
  • HabitsFlow has no servers and no accounts. We don't collect, store, sell or share your data.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
  • Your habits stay on your devices and sync through your own private iCloud, which we can't see.
  • Apple processes Premium purchases. We never see your payment details.

Who we are

HabitsFlow is a habit tracker and focus timer made by Pavlo Antoniuk, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to information when you use HabitsFlow on iPhone, iPad or Mac. If you have a question, write to [email protected].

What stays on your device

Everything you create in HabitsFlow is stored in the app's private storage on your device, which the system protects for each app:

  • Your habits: names, notes, icons, colors, the days they repeat on and reminder times.
  • Your progress: check-ins, skipped days with any reason you add, vacation breaks and the statistics built from them.
  • Focus: your tasks and the history of your focus sessions.
  • Preferences: theme, background, wallpaper and other settings.

HabitsFlow's widgets read the same data from a storage area shared only with the widgets on the same device. We have no access to any of this.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, HabitsFlow keeps your data in sync across your iPhone, iPad and Mac using Apple's CloudKit. Your data is stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account:

  • Only you can read it. We can't see, open or export your iCloud data.
  • Apple may send the app silent notifications when synced data changes, so your devices stay up to date. They contain no personal information.
  • If you're not signed in to iCloud, or turn off iCloud for HabitsFlow, your data stays on that device only.

Apple stores and protects iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Reminders, Live Activities and widgets

  • Reminders are local notifications. HabitsFlow schedules them on your device for the times you choose; they don't come from a server. The app asks for permission first, and you can turn notifications off anytime in Settings.
  • Focus timer: while a session runs, a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the name of the habit or task and the time left. It's created on your device and ends with the session.
  • Widgets show today's habits and your week on the Home Screen.

Live Activities and widgets can be seen by anyone who looks at your screen, even when it's locked. You can turn them off in Settings or remove the widgets.

Siri and Shortcuts

You can check in or skip a habit, start a focus session and see today's progress with Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight. These actions run inside HabitsFlow on your device. If you use your voice, Apple processes the request under its own privacy policy. We don't receive it.

Purchases

HabitsFlow Premium is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we never receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks your purchase on your device using Apple's StoreKit. Apple gives us only sales reports that don't identify you.

Crash reports

HabitsFlow has no analytics or crash-reporting code of its own. If you turned on “Share with App Developers” in your device's settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics that don't identify you. We use them only to fix bugs.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, including screenshots or recordings you attach. We use this only to reply and to fix problems. We delete it when we no longer need it, or sooner if you ask.

Deleting your data

  • Deleting a habit in HabitsFlow removes it, with its history, from the device, from iCloud and from your other devices.
  • Deleting the app removes its data from that device. Your iCloud copy stays, so your habits come back if you install HabitsFlow again while signed in to the same Apple Account.
  • To remove everything, including the iCloud copy, delete your habits in the app before you delete it.

Security

HabitsFlow runs in the system's app sandbox, which keeps its data apart from other apps. Your data on the device is protected by your passcode, and iCloud data by Apple's iCloud security. All network connections are encrypted.

Children

HabitsFlow is suitable for everyone. It doesn't collect information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, and to object to its use. This includes the GDPR in the EU and UK, and the CCPA in California. We don't hold personal data about you except emails you send us. To use any of these rights, write to us. We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what the app does with your data, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes.
